Alphabetical Order Task Cards | ABC Order Stations | Grades 2-4
Practise alphabetical order beyond the first letter. Learners sort fictional book labels by surname, then given name when needed, and explain the letter comparison that decides the order.
CONTENTS
- 4 stations with 16 cards each
-
- Sort, compare letters, repair, choose
-
- Enlarged copies + response sheets + keys
-
- A4 and US Letter files
-
- Teacher guide with teaching notes and quick checks
SUGGESTED USE
Set up four stations or use one station at a time. Each station has Starter and Stretch cards. Cut compact sheets between task cards, or print enlarged one-task pages. Use the separate response sheets for answers.
PREREQUISITES
Grades 2-4. Know the alphabet and compare words letter by letter. This is alphabetical-order practice, not Dewey Decimal or library call-number instruction.
