An Inspector Calls Key Character Quotes Poster / Discussion Cards

Posters for each of the seven main characters with key quotes. Images and colours link closely to the chosen quotes where possible to encourage interpretation. Includes the acts they originate from. Works as a good resource to print (and laminate) as discussion cards if printed smaller scale for group work.

Discussion examples may centre on meaning and symbols throughout the play to look at how each character influences the tragic end of Eva Smith - or Priestley’s use of each item or symbol for precise effects - or this could be used as a track of key quotes for the main characters . Also, as group work students could annotate around the quotes on A3 paper for method and effects and seek patterns in methods Priestley uses to convey his message to the audience.

Print to fit for poster size and adjust for A4/A3 or for discussion cards as necessary. I hope this will be useful - this resource has been created for use in more ways than an ordinary poster!
