This exciting game is a whodunnit utilising the popular characters from the Angry Birds games. The 'Angry Words!' are all different word classes. Each of the 8 puzzles will help students to learn how to spot and differentiate between the different word classes.
Students begin by matching the Angry Words character to their 'character description' which is really a definition for their word class. For example, Colonel Ective is 'Connective'.
The 8 puzzles must be solved to crack the case of the missing egg and will test pupils' ability to recognise 8 different word classes. By completing the puzzles, students will be able to whittle down the potential criminals using the suspect grid.
The powerpoint can be differentiated up or down and features the answers. Depending on your students abilities, the game could last one to three lessons. It could also be repeated over time to consolidate learning!
