A series of 26 activity sheets on an animal from each letter of the alphabet.
Specifically targeted for Years 3,4 and 5.
- General description
- A 50 word vocabulary list of adjectives that describes the animal, very useful to support Creative Writing
- A short poem - rhyming couplets
- A Tarsia Puzzle containing the list of animals
I have also included a 53 square Animal Spelling board game with full instructions and 16 words to get you started. I have included a spelling template that allows you to use and printout your own words.
These sheets and the board game can be used as a stimulus for cross curricular activities in English and Science.
In addition to photocopying and distributing the sheets either individually, or for use in small groups, displaying them on your IWB for whole class use works really well.
