I made this for my GCSE class during locdown when we were studying Social Issues. It’s based on Alexandria Ocasio Cortéz campaign video in Spanish from 2018 when she was the youngest woman ever to be elected to congress.
Skills practised - Listening and Reading
The students will learn about some of AOC’s background through the video and why she is running for Congress. The first task is a Gap Fill of the video transcript, the Chllenge version does not contain the missing words in a box at the end of the text.
The second task is questions and answers in English - all answers found in the transcript, bar the last question which is about the cultural bigger picture.
