Approaching Shakespeare 18/22: Hamlet

Originally aimed at first year undergraduates, Dr Emma Smith's &'Approaching Shakespeare&'; lecture series could be a useful tool to challenge and inspire your gifted and talented year 13s. In this eighteenth lecture, the fact that father and son share the same name in Hamlet is used to investigate the play's nostalgia, drawing on biographical criticism and the religious and political history of early modern England.
