This resource is suitable for A-Level English Literature students revising the AQA syllabus, specifically, the LITB3 Unit: Elements of the Pastoral. As the exam is closed-book, this revision guide contains quotations to commit to memory from the following texts:

- 'As You Like It' by William Shakespeare
- Pastoral Poetry Selection 1300-1800
- Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy
- Pastoral Poetry Selection Post 1945

In addition to key quotations, analytical comments on the quotations are also included which cover the 4 Assessment Objectives of the course. This guide therefore contains:

- AO1 Critical terminology
- AO2 Language, structure, and form
- AO3 Alternative interpretations and comparisons between texts
- AO4 Context

Whilst specific to the AQA course, many of the poems and texts may be the same as other courses, so this quality resource is certainly valuable.
