A short scheme (covering 3-4 lessons) based on an extract from Defending Jacob and incorporating clips from the TV series. Includes an overview of the paper, AQA Langauge Paper 1 style questions and scaffolded steps to answer these. It is focused more on the reading section but does include a question 5.
There is also a section looking at links to the real world and child criminals which could be developed into a debate or linked to a Language Paper 2 style task.
The questions are all in the style of AQA but not exact - for example question 4 looks at the whole text, rather than just a section.
The extract from Defending Jacob is also longer than a typical AQA text would be - it is just over 3 pages.
