AQA Paper 1 Section A Reading skills: 10 lesson unit of work focused on Reading, Language, Structure

A series of lessons (10 in total) that approach the AQA Language Paper 1 Section A chronologically.

Lessons include;

Lesson 1:
Question 1 and how to develop a personalised approach to learning.
Question 2 and how to break down the question in detail.

Lesson 2:
Using a fiction text extract to approach question 1 and question 2.

Lesson 3:
Using a fiction text extract to explore how a writer uses language to create effects.

Lesson 4 & 5:
How do writers develop structure? Exploration of a fiction text and a range of approaches designed to help students engage with the challenge of structure.

Lesson 6:
Personalised lesson based on marking of previously lessons work and identification of targets from these.

Lesson 7:
Question 4 and the effects created by authors, exploring a Victorian Text Extract

Lesson 8:
Developed approach to Question 4 using a new text (Lord of the Flies)

Lesson 9:
Questions 1-4 evaluation

Lesson 10:
Question 4 assessment
