Are we living in a matrix?
A complete lesson with resources and a group challenge designed to encourage meta-cognition and critical thinking. The key element explored is what makes us certain that our existence is ‘real’, and not part of a simulated reality. The evidence presented asks students to consider what they deem to be ‘proof’. The group task is enormous fun and helps students articulate their ideas in a low-stakes setting. This lesson can be delivered in one 60 minute session or broken down into sections to cover multiple sessions.

This lesson is written in line with NATRE and DfE requirements and covers areas of PSHE/RSHE. It is suitable for experienced teachers of the subject as well as ECTs, non-specialists and cover staff.
