Solve and Draw no-prep printables for are an easy, no-prep way to make math practice more engaging. This resource may be used as a fun quiz or review, for center or station activities, for fast finishers, as homework, or as a sub day activity.
How Solve & Draw Activities Work
Students solve the area and circumference problems and add to the drawing based on their answers. (In full version - sample includes area only) Two versions of each page (excluding the challenge page) are included. One has answers with Pi, the other has answers that require calculating with Pi. The drawings and prompts are identical – to tell the difference you will need to look at the answer choices or at the top left circle of the border. Level 1 pages have a black circle in the top left of the border.
An optional challenge page is included that can be copied on the back of the worksheet or given to fast finishers– this gives students an extension opportunity by asking them to create a new problem using a circle with new dimensions. They get to create their own drawing prompts and can then add those to their drawings. You may also have them share these challenge problems with the rest of class, which provides additional practice for everyone.
