Here is a lesson I have done with both year 5 and 6 but could definitely be adapted for year 3 and 4. It contains a powerpoint that treats the children as though they are training with NASA to become an astronaut. Each child has a booklet for them to fill in as they move around each activity. And each activity has an explanation card to tell the children what they do at each station.
At the end of the lesson there is a certificate to say they have completed the training and then the last slide is a video of a space shuttle launching - we pretend like we are on the ship and blasting off.
In order to teach the lesson there are resources needed such as stop watches, counter, cups, thick gloves, rulers etc. but all explained on the ppt.
