This FREE resource is ideal for younger Geographers (KS2 and KS3) and can be used as an introductory lesson to map work and using atlases, or as extension work! It may also be suitable as a STAND-ALONE COVER LESSON (it you had some atlases available!).
It allows students to develop their map skills and become familiar with using atlases; looking for map-related information, using the contents and index pages, discovering different types of maps and assessing their effectiveness. It also includes ‘Aim High’ tips to challenge students to improve their work and further develop good geographical skills.
