A complete, no-prep 100-mark worksheet on balanced diet - ready to use for lessons, homework, or revision with KS3 Biology students aged 11-14.

Balanced diet is the idea that the body needs the right amount of each food group - carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals, fibre and water - to stay healthy, with each group playing its own role in energy, growth and overall wellbeing.

Structured across three sections of progressive difficulty: Section 1 (30 marks) covers the seven food groups through multiple-choice questions, a true/false table and a fill-in-the-blank exercise. Section 2 (40 marks) builds understanding through short-answer questions on fats, carbohydrates and fibre, a nutrient-matching exercise, and key definitions. Section 3 (30 marks) challenges students with extended writing comparing dietary needs, a real-world case study, and an explanation of the Eatwell Guide. A full answer key with detailed marking guidance is included.

Every multiple-choice question is short and clearly worded, every written answer has generous ruled space, and questions build steadily from recall to reasoning so the same worksheet suits mixed-ability classes. Also available: a companion extension pack with four enrichment activities, or save £1 with the complete lesson bundle - both listed on the iNewittAll TES store.

Google Classroom ready.
