Creative responses to the uprising in Iran - this session examines the protest anthem ‘Baraye’, sung all over the world including by Coldplay! Students explore the meaning of the words and then have options to respond through discussion, in action, or using creativity. Optional content on the repression of protests allows older students to reflect on freedom of expression.

The pack includes a lesson outline, links to the song, document versions of the lyrics and a crib sheet for staff, and links to articles that could be used in response. The linked website also includes up to date information on Iran’s uprising and possible actions.
