**Use the colour grey to introduce your young learner to new English words. **

Young learners enjoy classes when learning is fun. They get to listen to catchy songs, play a fun memory game and are rewarded with a gold star for doing a good job!

This lesson in PowerPoint has 25 slides which are colourful, fun and interactive, ensuring that your young learner will stay engaged throughout the lesson.

A Lesson Plan (pdf format - 6 pages) is included and sets out the objective and structure of the lesson. It includes flashcards and colouring pages that you can send out to your student prior to their lesson.

An overview of the Lesson

A complete fun, colourful and interactive PowerPoint lesson which follows the PPP lesson method (Presentation, Practice, Production) includes;

• Proper greetings at the beginning and end of the lesson.
• Practice greetings – “Hello, what is your name? My name is . . , Nice to meet you”
• How are you today? – Practice words about feelings (sad, happy, tired etc.).
• How is the weather today? – Practice words about weather (sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy)
• Practice Days of the Week – What day is it today?
• Practice the 12 months of the year.
• Graphical Lexis introduction of five grey things (elephant, wolf, dolphin, mouse, squirrel).
• Easy reading picture sentences (Example, “The elephant is grey; I see a small grey mouse” etc.).
• Learn to count from the grey things from 1 – 20.
• Show and Tell (The student gets to show the teacher their grey things)
• Play an arcade game – (Help the mouse explore the house and find the cheese)
• Links to related songs on YouTube
