Key stage 3 ~ full lesson on the topic of Biotechnology. In this lesson pupils will describe how fermentation is used in the food industry (bread and alcohol from yeast fermentation, cheese and yoghurt from bacteria fermentation), complete flowcharts showing some biotechnology processes and explain what the term biotechnology means.

Extension questions are included on the slides and there is a pick and mix of different tasks to select from for your students. Follows the Activate 3 KS3 course.
