Understanding bipolar disorder; mania, hypomania, depression and mixed episodes; psychotic symptoms; Bipolar I, Bipolar II and cyclothymia; possible contributing factors and diagnosis; treatment awareness; self-care and recovery; crisis support; and challenging stigma and discrimination.
Who is it for?
Health and social care educators, workplace trainers, care managers and further education tutors delivering introductory mental health awareness to adult learners. The focus is recognising experiences, reducing assumptions and providing respectful, person-centred support.
Practical delivery
Use the presentation for a trainer-led session, supported by the Trainer’s Edition. Learners complete the workbook activities and reflections alongside the course and identify their next steps for practice. The discussion activities can be delivered using the supplied materials without a separate video.
Editable files
All four resources are supplied as PowerPoint (.pptx) files. Microsoft PowerPoint or compatible software is required. Adapt the materials to your learners, organisational policies and local support pathways. Print the workbook after personalising it and edit the certificate with the learner and course details.
This is a digital teaching resource pack. No physical products or delivered training are included. It supports awareness learning and does not qualify learners to diagnose bipolar disorder, prescribe treatment or practise as mental health clinicians. The certificate records course completion and does not itself confer an accredited qualification.
Care Ready Solutions creates practical training materials for health and social care educators.
