This pack includes banners, bookmarks, cut-out borders, alphabet and numbers, four sets of lined papers and pageborders and an activity booklet.
Birds and their eggs have been significant to human society in too numerous to count. Many birds are kept as pets and man’s impact on bird populations is very strong as few species have become extinct. Use this pack to make your pupils aware about the declining numbers of birds.
You can set an outdoor activity for your pupils at a nearby park to observe birds with the use of binoculars. Ask them to describe how the birds’ feathers, beaks and feet look like, how tall or short they are, their colours, their names and their feeding habits. For the writing activity, ask your pupils to draw their favourite bird or birds and write few sentences about them.
I have also included some photos that I have compiled for few years to discuss in the class individually or in groups.
