A browser-based version of the classic Blockbusters Game, with configurable board size. Two game modes: Hex Game (alternating colours) and Winner Stays On.

Hex Game mode
Based on the original Hex Game (invented by Piet Hein and popularised by John Nash and Martin Gardner), teams take turns to claim tiles.
• Blue’s goal: connect Top to Bottom
• Red’s goal: connect Left to Right
• With perfect information and no luck involved, the game cannot end in a draw

Blockbusters (Winner Stays On) mode
Correct answers keep your team in control!
• A correct answer lets your team colour a tile and take another question
• A wrong answer hands control to the opposing team (with no tile claimed)
• Ideal for escalating difficulty, pressure, and excitement as streaks build

Use any questions you like – subject knowledge, retrieval practice, revision, or general knowledge – and increase the challenge when a team stays on to ramp up the drama.

The game runs entirely in the browser with no installation required.
You can even personalise the experience: simply edit Line 15 of the HTML file in a text editor to change the on-screen title to your own name.
