Blood Brothers: Plot Summary and Tasks

A GCSE English Literature resource for teaching and revising the plot of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers.

This resource supports students in developing secure knowledge of the play’s main events, relationships and turning points. It follows the plot from Mrs Johnstone’s pregnancy and the separation of the twins through to the final revelation and tragic ending.

The structured activities help students retrieve key information, explain important developments and understand how relationships, circumstances and choices shape the tragedy.
