A Science lesson powerpoint based around the question ‘What can happen if you don’t eat a balanced diet?’
The children will learn through the powerpoint and activities:
- Children learn that an unhealthy diet can lead to malnutrition.
- They learn that malnutrition can result in unplanned weight loss, muscle loss or vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
- They create a drama retelling the story of how James Lind found a cure for scurvy.
- They consider how scientists conduct clinical trials.
- They answer the lesson question: ‘What can happen if you don’t eat a balanced diet?’
I have held off insert images and animations to enhance the content due to it being a senstive topic and not knowing all schools classroom situations.
