BTEC Children’s Play, Learning and Development L2 U3: The Principles of Early Years Practice
LEARNING AIM D: Understand the importance of the key person approach in supporting children’s development

This pack of resources contains all you need to teach and mark for the BTEC First Award in Children’s Play, Learning and Development. It contains powerpoints for P6 and P7 with the corresponding worksheets for students to complete plus student guidance to help with the completion of the assessment as per the specification. The pack includes helpful teacher assessment guidance checklists that can be used to ensure that students are including all relevant information from the specification in their assessments which can inform accurate marking. These are for teachers guidance only as are too prescriptive for students use.
This pack also contains two real life case studies for the completion of P6, M4 and D4- this has both a powerpoint and worksheet to help support the students and the teacher input. Again, there is another teacher assessment guidance to help support the marking and assessment of M4/D4 criteria. The specification has been followed throughout.
This pack also contains three pieces of SV’d learner work up to PASS and DISTINCTION standard.
