A creative way to have the students summarize the novel,
Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis.

Students will write about the importance of the title, recall the setting and the plot.
They will write about one of the many themes found in the novel, and write character sketches for two of the main characters.
Students will also write the parts of speech and meanings for some of the vocabulary words found in the novel, as well as write complete sentences.
They will have the opportunity to give their opinion on the ending of the novel and predict what will happen to Bud after the novel.

A great assessment tool as well!
