Build Your Online Business

In Build Your Online Business, students create an online business in order to sell a product or service.

Duration: 6-9 hours

Build Your Online Business is suitable for:

• Post-16

Students use Docs, Drawings, Sites, and Slides.

By the end of these lessons, students should be able to:

• Outline their skills, interests, resources, and validate a business idea
• Conduct market research and organize their findings in a slideshow presentation
• Determine the best online marketplace to sell their product/service
• Design a flyer to promote the business product/service
• Use a spreadsheet to track inventory, spending, and profits
• Create a customer feedback survey

The resource is video-based and features FREE, ready-to-use lesson plans, rubrics to enable teachers to evaluate a student’s work across a variety of skills and levels of proficiency (i.e. beginner, developing, accomplished, and exemplary) and a dashboard to show how each student is progressing.
