This game has been designed to get children to think about what they need to create and sustain a settlement. It is my first attempt to may need some tweaking for your class, but the kids seem to enjoy it. If you print out the map with grid lines on the kids can see where to build.

I think this is a neat concept. Could you explain how they get the money in this game Also I am assuming I am the one that will approve their settlement at the beginning? Also when you say blocks, do you mean I need to prepare cutouts for them such as the blocks. Do I hand them half a paper for their blocks and then they start cutting them out. Do you have anymore insight as I would like to do this next week. Just trying to understand the concept. Love the idea.
