Pupils work in groups of 3 or 4 with one copy of the grid between them. In silence they pass round the sheet and take it in turns to differentiate one of the expressions. Allow 2 or 3 minutes then let them jointly complete the task for the last minute. Mistake identified by reviewer below has now been corrected.

Thanks - nice exercise for my lower Yr12 to practice "in safety" - going to extend to use as basis for diff bingo

This is a starter where students have to differentiate some expressions as explained in the description. This is an interesting idea which would encourage them to watch others work and may help them better understand the process. There is a mistake on the sheet, the second version says 'simplify' instead of 'differentiate'. Thank you for sharing.
