This is a calcogram story. Some of the words in the story are missing. The children have to use their calculators to work out the answers, and turn the calculator upside down to read the answer. They really enjoyed this activity. Some children went on to create their own calcogram stories.

A good way to develop calculator skills. I do find that some children struggle to understand the resulting words, but that improves the more they complete these! Thanks!
