
Cambridge Global Perspectives — Stage 4 (Primary)
Six ready-to-teach Stage 4 (Year 4) enquiry Challenges for Cambridge Global Perspectives. Playful, child-led and skills-based, with the six skills glossed for children (Finding Out, Different Views, Good Idea?, Working Together, Sharing, What I Think Now). Skill descriptors are nudged up from Stage 3 (comparing views, weighing ideas, explaining how thinking changed). Each Challenge = five ~40-minute lessons, 13 files: Overview & Teacher Guide, Skills Rubric, My Thinking Journal, five lesson teacher guides with decks.
Challenge 1 — People on the Move
Global Perspectives Stage 4: People on the Move (Enquiry)
A warm, sensitive enquiry into why people move to new places and how we can welcome others. Children find out, weigh views, decide which welcoming ideas really help, and make a ‘welcome’ pledge. Provocations, “Ask:” prompts, sources, child-friendly rubric and journal.
Challenge 2 — Cultures and Celebrations
Global Perspectives Stage 4: Cultures and Celebrations (Enquiry)
A respectful enquiry into how people around the world celebrate and live, and how we are alike and different. Children explore, compare views, decide how to treat cultures with respect, and make a pledge. Handled sensitively, celebrating difference.
Challenge 3 — Where Things Come From
Global Perspectives Stage 4: Where Things Come From (Fairness)
Children trace where their clothes, toys and food come from, think about how things are made and who makes them, decide which choices are fair and kind, and make a pledge. A gentle first look at trade and fairness. Full teacher guides, rubric and journal.
Challenge 4 — Our Changing Weather
Global Perspectives Stage 4: Our Changing Weather (Climate)
A calm, hopeful enquiry into weather and climate around the world and how we can help our planet. Children find out, weigh views, decide which planet-friendly ideas really work, and make a pledge. Taught positively, with no eco-anxiety.
Challenge 5 — Water for Everyone
Global Perspectives Stage 4: Water for Everyone (Enquiry)
Children discover how we use water and where it comes from, weigh different views, decide how to save water, and make a pledge. Sensitive about water access around the world. Picture-based enquiry with prompts, rubric and thinking journal.
Challenge 6 — Caring for Animals
Global Perspectives Stage 4: Caring for Animals (Enquiry)
Children explore the animals that share our world and what they need, think about how people treat animals, decide which caring ideas really help, and make a pledge. Warm and engaging, growing all six skills. Teacher guides, rubric and journal.
