Six ready-to-teach Stage 5 (Year 5) enquiry Challenges for Cambridge Global Perspectives. Playful, child-led and skills-based, with the six skills glossed for children. Skill descriptors stepped up again from Stage 4 (comparing perspectives and reasons, judging ideas with evidence, explaining what changed their thinking). Each Challenge = five ~40-minute lessons, 13 files.

Challenge 1 — The Rights of a Child
Global Perspectives Stage 5: The Rights of a Child (Enquiry)
Children discover what all children need and deserve, explore why some miss out, decide how to help children get their rights, and make a class rights charter. A gentle introduction to children’s rights. Prompts, sources, child-friendly rubric and journal.

Challenge 2 — Energy and Us
Global Perspectives Stage 5: Energy and Us (Enquiry Challenge)
*Children find out where energy comes from, weigh views on clean energy, decide which ways of using energy are good ideas, and make a saving-energy pledge. Playful, child-led enquiry with picture sources, talk stems, rubric and journal.

Challenge 3 — News and Truth
Global Perspectives Stage 5: News and Truth (Media Literacy)
A first look at media literacy — how news reaches us, how the same story can be told differently, and how to check what’s true. Children enquire, weigh views and make a ‘check it’ poster. Timely and engaging. Full teacher guides, rubric and journal.

Challenge 4 — Helping Each Other
Global Perspectives Stage 5: Helping Each Other (Trade & Aid)
Children find out how countries share and help each other, explore what fair sharing looks like, decide which ways of helping really work, and make a pledge. A gentle look at trade and aid. Prompts, sources, rubric and thinking journal.

Challenge 5 — Staying Well Together
Global Perspectives Stage 5: Staying Well Together (Health)
A calm, reassuring enquiry into staying well and stopping illness spreading, and why it’s easier for some than others. Children weigh views, decide which healthy habits help, and make a pledge. Handled sensitively. Teacher guides, rubric and journal.

Challenge 6 — Work Around the World
Global Perspectives Stage 5: Work Around the World (Fairness)
Children explore the many jobs people do around the world, think about what makes work fair, decide which ideas make work fair, and make a pledge. Growing all six skills through playful enquiry. Full teacher guides, rubric and thinking journal.
