How to Play Cards Against Humanity:
What You’ll Need

  1. The Cards: A deck of “Prompt” cards and “Answer” cards.
  2. Players: At least **four **people, but more is usually merrier!
  3. Sense of Humor

The Setup

  1. Shuffle and Deal: Each player gets 5 Answer cards.
  2. Choose a question / statement Card : One player is designated the Card master for the first round. This role rotates each round.

Gameplay
The Card master Draws: The Card master picks one Prompt card from the deck and reads it aloud to everyone. This card will have a blank (or blanks) that needs to be filled in by the other players.

Players Choose Answers: All other players (not the Card master) look at their 5 Answer cards and choose the one they think best (or worst, or funniest) completes the prompt. Some Prompt cards require multiple Answer cards, so pay attention to the number of blanks.

Submit Anonymously: Players hand their chosen Answer card(s) face down to the Card master.

Card master Reads Aloud: The Card master shuffles the submitted Answer cards and then reads each combination aloud. For example, they’d read the Prompt card, then each submitted Answer card that fills the blank.

Card master Picks a Winner: The Card master chooses the combination they find the funniest, most offensive, or simply the “best.”

Winner Keeps the Prompt Card: The player who submitted the winning Answer card gets to keep the Prompt card. This card counts as one “Awesome Point.”

New Round:
Everyone draws new Answer cards until they have 5 again.
A new player becomes the Card master for the next round (usually the person to the left of the previous one).

Winning the Game
Cards game doesn’t have a strict “end” like most games. You can play for a set amount of time, until someone reaches a certain number of Awesome Points (e.g., 5 or 10 Prompt cards), or simply until everyone is tired of playing. The person with the most Awesome Points at the end wins!

This game thrives on shocking and unexpected combinations, so don’t be afraid to be a little outlandish with your choices. Have fun!
