This lesson involves the pupils using their inference and deduction skills based on Chapter 10 of Oliver Twist.
Instead of reading it, they will be given a list of statements from particular characters to figure out what exactly happened and who they think robbed the Old Gentleman.
Worked very well with a middle ability year 8 class and they loved using their prior knowledge of the characters to help them figure out the investigation.
