
This was created for a low ability Y8 class to encourage them to think about creating and writing about characters. It is preparation for their Y8 exam which is based around an AQA Paper 1 Section B task. This lesson uses group work and timed tasks and can be adapted for any creative writing scheme/ lesson or any character study activity.
There are challenges and super challenges to extend student learning and the lesson has a Big Question, which I use instead of Learning Objectives. there are also differentiated success criteria using Bloom's Revised Taxonomy to explore different levels of success. My class loved this, I hope yours does too.
