The Lantern Festival is celebrated on the 15th Day of the Chinese New Year. In 2022, it is on 15 February. It is also known as Chinese Valentine’s Day.

Lanterns are a main feature of this festival, as young lads and lasses in ancient China mingled, hoping to find the love of their life. Younger children delighted in having lanterns to carry and play with their pals.
