Inspired by a resource from TES ( http://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resource/Easter-Egg-investigation-6074691/) which has some lovely scanned in photos of packaging and receipts, I created a lesson based on the same resource but made more suitable for lower Key Stage 2. The children work in pairs and fill in the weights and prices of the different chocolates bought, then work together to work out the price of each chocolate bearing the special offers in mind. We then work as a class to find the price per 100g and discuss value for money.
