A couple of powerpoint slideshows to summarize the Xian beliefs about heaven and hell. They are best used in conjunction with a video such as "What Dreams May Come". This constitues as much as 4 lessons work for the less able students whereas the more able can be given extension work such asresearching further Bible refs on heaven and/or hell.

I used some of these slides in a unit on Big Questions I am doing with my KS2 class. I also adapted the section on what Christian believe about going to heaven since Christians are offered God's grace and forgiveness through their relationship with Jesus Christ. I did not use any of the slides on hell as they were quite dark and too deep for my class. I used instead some class clips on what Muslims (BBC class clips 3259) and Hindus(BBC class clips 3629) believe happens after death.
Nice slides and thank you for sharing them, but i'm concerned about your statement that "Most Christians believe that entry to heaven is conditional on having led a good life." As a christian, i don't know of any believer who believes that entry into heaven is conditional on having led a good life, rather the bible clearly states that " for God so loved the world, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16. Entry into heaven is conditional on believing in Jesus and having a relationship with Him not on good works lest any man should boast.
