A fun Christmas vocabulary activity suitable for EFL and ESOL learners working at CEFR levels A2-B1.

Use a variety of reading strategies to help read and understand an increasing range of vocabulary.
The activity asks learners to find words which co-occur with the word “Christmas”.
There is a follow up activity in which learners ask and discuss questions in groups.
There is also a lesson plan with sugestions for differentiation and extension activities.
This activity may also be suitable for primary school children, though teachers will need to be sensitive to the cultural distribution in their class.
