Christmas Colour by Code Phonics Phase 2 | Decodable CVC Words

Colour by code where the code is a sound. Children read each word and colour it by its middle sound: a, e, i, o or u. Every word a child reads is decodable by the end of Phase 2, plus tricky words taught by then, checked automatically against Letters and Sounds, Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised and Monster Phonics.

Each word contains exactly one key sound, so there is only one right colour. The picture checks itself: a misread word shows up as a patch of the wrong colour.
