Christmas Read and Color – Reading Comprehension in Two Levels

Bring some Christmas creativity to your English lessons! With Christmas Read and Color, students read instructions in English and color specific parts of festive pictures. This engaging activity combines reading comprehension with coloring, helping students practice colors, Christmas vocabulary, and attention to detail.

The resource includes six detailed scenes: a Christmas tree, Santa’s workshop, a fireplace, a gingerbread house, a Christmas sleigh, and a Christmas street.

Two levels – the same pictures

Both levels use the same illustrations and include 12 instructions per picture, making it easy to adapt the activity to your students’ language skills.

**Easier level: **Short, direct instructions that ask students to identify objects and color them.

More challenging level: Longer instructions, often in two parts, with more detail and positional language. Students read carefully to identify which objects and sections to color.

Areas not mentioned in the instructions can be colored however students like, giving each picture a personal touch.
