Students identify the adaptations of a magical reindeer and remind themselves of the GPE and Power equations to calculate how many calories each reindeer would need to fuel their journey on christmas eve.
Students burn a range of food (including dried carrots) to see how much energy is stored in each and to extrapolate up how many carrots (in grams) would the reindeers need to eat.
