Students plot eight straight lines that miraculously turn into a Christmas Star :)
Using y=mx+c, and then extending with a worksheet asking questions about parallel lines, and finding new equations.
Plotted lines can also be used to talk about reflected functions (about x- or y-axis) and even inverse functions (2nd 4 lines are inverses of the 1st 4), as well as restricted domains (or inequalities for younger students).

A lovely resource. It's great as a festive activity but more importantly, this isn't just a Christmas gimmick. It is accompanied by a great worksheet with a variety of questions on straight line graphs.
