By the end of the lesson (can be split into two lessons - feel free to adapt), students should be able to describe the management strategies used to reduce erosion on the coastline (both hard and soft engineering) and explain their advantages and disadvantages. Pupils should also be able to apply this knowledge and evaluate each strategies' effectiveness in a decision making exercise. I have used this with KS3 but it can be adapted for use with KS4. Please remember to rate if you found this lesson useful; any feedback would be much appreciated.
