Colour Wheel: Art unit KS1

This unit is based on and uses the images provided on mensa website https://www.mensaforkids.org/teach/lesson-plans/introduction-to-color/
I have put it into a handy ppt, with some extra ideas of how to engage Y1 and Y2 pupils. The culmination of the unit was an art exhibition where the children painted and created using only primary and basic secondary colours. You can find a free colour wheel templates online to compliment the third lesson - or let the children be creative! We used ‘The day the crayons quit’ as a text to stimulate ideas for lesson 2. Enjoy!
