Community Building Week Activity

This resource contains a power-point that explains the importance of having classroom community , and asks key visual questions to the students in terms of cleanliness, class decorum, punctuality and respecting the speaker.

After the power point discussion the students can work on designing the Classroom Essential Agreements and Best Practices in Classroom as a poster making kinesthetic activity. Two posters are also attached for reference.

At the end the class decides on members of community team that is monitors in each area of class management for shared responsibility such as two student monitors in various categories (e.g., respect, cleanliness, punctuality, peer support, community mascots etc.) to help uphold the agreed standards.

We believe this initiative will foster respect, collaboration, and shared responsibility among students and promote a sense of collaborative learning.
