A PDHPE resource to teach students to recognise or read opposite signs: Open and closed.
This resources was developed as ‘life skills’ literacy activity for secondary aged students with special needs (SEN).
It focuses on the community signs Open and Closed when used in everyday life.
There are some games to play to enhance their understanding of open or closed.
There are worksheets for Match and sorting as well as developing early literacy skills in reading and writing.
The content has been made as Smart notebook or Powerpoint or as a PDF, so hopefully everyone can access it.
I have made it as a Powerpoint and want to use it in Powerpoint online which would enable it to be used with Immersive reader to enhance its inclusivity.
It was created for students with special needs (SEN) for teaching life skills but can be used as a valuable resource for early years literacy.
