This is a two part lesson designed as part of a study of Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds.
Lesson 1) Students look at why ghosts are conventionally used in gothic literature before exploring four examples of ghosts from classic gothic literature.
Lesson 2) Students look at a ghost from Long Way Down - Buck - and compare his presentation to Marley’s Ghost from A Christmas Carol.
This is designed for a high ability year 9 group but could be adapted for other contexts.
