Pupils have to split shapes into congruent pairs by drawing lines on them. Makes teaching congruency more interesting and there is an extension activity for more investigation. You will need to write on some of the powerpoint slides! Thanks to Jim Noble (@teachmaths, http://www.teachmathematics.net/) for the idea! Superb - I added a slide about bridges to give congruence a context and away we went.

I love this activity. Thanks for sharing and making it free! It looks very familiar to a page from a book that might be out of print now. Called Math Games? Some of my favourite resources come from this book but I have not seen the book in 20 years and desperately want to in order to get copies of the congruent thirds page. Do you have a copy of the book by any chance?

I used it as an introduction to congruency (with Year 9 class)
