Read this intriguing story to your class. A man took a short cut through some woods one night to get home in the freezing snow. He encountered something very strange and when he was arrested by the police a few minutes later they found something in his pocket which dumbfounded them. His explanation of how he acquired the item was viewed as a lie by the investigating sergeant until the man unexpectedly provided proof.
Ask the students to listen carefully to the account and then write out their imaginative version of the proof.
