Creative Writing THE COMPLETE COURSE BUNDLE

This bundle of resources represents the entire creative writing course.

I taught this course over sixteen 2-hour classes (including assessments).

The bundle includes all the assessments, rubrics, and course outline which is not available when you purchase individual resources. It also includes access to all files (including assessments in digital format).

Lessons 1 begins with an introduction to creative writing and how it differs from academic writing.
Lesson 2-5 covers LIFE WRITING, specifically writing a MEMOIR.
Lesson 6 is a writing assessment. The assessment and rubric are available in Word and PDF format. There is also a google forms version.
Lesson 7, 8, and 9, students will explore the genre of POETRY. The second half of lesson 9 will be a short assessment on the poetry genre.
Lesson 10, 11, 12, 14 cover the FICTIONAL NARRATIVE.
Lesson 13 is a reading assessment (38 questions multiple choice)
Lesson 15 is the final writing assessment on a fictional narrative.
Lesson 16 is the course wrap up and survey (20-30 minutes).

Lessons 6, 13, 15, and 16 (as well as the course outline and Google drive links) are found in the BONUS FILE.

This resource bundle includes graphic organizers and mentor texts (in Word and PDF format so as to be editable), as well as PowerPoint presentations which are editable.

NOTE: The teacher can move the reading assessment to Lesson 14 and teach the final fictional narrative lesson in Lesson 13. In this way, all four fictional narrative lessons will be taught consecutively. I arranged my course this way because of the scheduling requirements of my school. Feel free to adjust it in a way that best suits your students. All lessons are editable.
