Part of the Writing the Senses series which focuses on each type of sensory imagery in writing. This workshop prompt uses an extract from Arundhati Roy’s novel The God of Small Things to immerse readers into a scene. Students will then imagine themselves stepping inside an image, and write about the scene using choices to evoke vivid visual imagery for their readers.
